Atlantic Ro-Ro Carriers participated in the 19th Annual Breakbulk Transportation Conference and Exhibition in New Orleans

Participations in conferences and exhibitions provide a great opportunity to get up to date on the latest innovations in the industry, meet customers and promote visibility. That is why ARRC could not miss the chance to take part in the Annual Breakbulk Transportation Conference and Exhibition, which took place in New Orleans on October 14-16 and it is an important venue for the shipping industry.

Each year unfailingly the Conference gathers an impressive number of representatives from all sectors of the industry. The participants have the possibility to review and discuss important topics and present their services to guests at the Exhibition Hall.

For three days ARRC representatives from our offices in Montreal - QC, Houston – TX, Clifton – NJ welcomed old friends and new visitors to our booth working on developing new opportunities and ties.

A great "Thank you" is extended to all guests and also the staff who made this event possible.

Dear Customers,

In an on-going pursuit of optimizing the process of cargo handled via its terminals the Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg is starting the reconstruction of region 4 (JSC “Fourth Stevedoring Company”) and its conversion into a container terminal. This will affect ARRC’s operations at the port which are being reassigned from region 4 to region 2 (JSC “First Stevedoring Company”) and region 1 (JSC “Second Stevedoring Company”). The complete switch over to regions 2 and 1 is expected to be completed by February 2009 with the eventual plan for all inbound shipments to be handled via region 2 while outbound shipments to go via region 2 and region 1.

In the meantime, some of ARRC vessels, on a case per case basis, will still be handled at region 4 and we will keep you and your forwarders in Saint-Petersburg duly informed of these movements.

All efforts are being made by ARRC and the port to make this transition as smooth as possible. Nevertheless we ask for your support and cooperation during this transition and are here to address any concerns or difficulties that might arise.

Additional information may be obtained at the Sea Port’s site www.seaport.spb.ru or via our agent in Saint-Petersburg – JSC “Baltic Mercur”.

Sincerely,

Milena Dimitrova
